Just after New Year we completed a property refurbishment London, Muswell Hill N10. The whole project took about 6 weeks, involving the removal of some partitions, building new walls, stripping all of the old appliances and equipment. This property was very outdated and we think we achieved the best result, converting this property into a modern home. Firstly we display pictures of the kitchen installation: how it looked before and how it looks now. As you can see, the space in the old kitchen was bigger - that was on the expense of very small bedroom: only a bed could fit there, no space for any cupboards, just a passage to the toilet and bathroom. So, having measured all spaces we had, we came up with the solution to reduce the kitchen space and enlarge a bedroom. Obviously, this property is too small for a family anyway, but for one man is just fine, and the single worktop run kitchen is enough. So, we removed the old partition and built a new one. Then followed the usual work: water supply and waste pipes adjustment, electrical rewiring, kitchen installation, painting decorating and finally floor fitting.

Bedroom and living room refurbished pictures:

As the bedroom was very small, there was only a passage to get to the toilet and bathroom and when you opened the door you found another small passage between the toilet and bathroom - a very good way to loose more space :). If you want to utilize the space that you have in your property in the most inefficient way, create as many passages, hallways between the rooms, as you can. We wanted to get as much space for the bedroom as possible, so that partition between the bedroom and sanitary rooms (first two pictures below) was removed. To hide a gas meter and boiler we constructed cupboards, giving also some extra storage space.

Among many other jobs we adjusted central heating system: repositioned pipes under the floor (they were exposed and fixed on the skirting boards), installed an extra radiator in the bedroom. And when time came to test the system we pressurised it and to our surprise the old boiler started leaking. One of the extra jobs involved was boiler replacement - the old boiler wasn't serviced for 8 last years. We had to do quite many extra jobs, as it was not possible to predict all in advance - too many small bits needed attention. But as the work progressed, we cooperated with our customer very closely and explained him what needed to be done to get the best result and thus the customer was very happy with the final result.
